Kanpur district Court will hear on December 13 the bail application filed by Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Irfan Solanki in connection with an arson case.
Speaking to the media Irfan Solanki’s advocate Naresh Tripathi said “the case against the MLA and his brother was baseless. “We will bring them out of jail soon,”
“The prosecution, during its argument, requested the court to extend the date for hearing the bail plea and the court accepted the same. Court Fixes December 13 for next hearing of bail application of Irfan Solanki,” he added.
The case pertains to the alleged torching of a property in a land dispute case.
The SP MLA and his brother Rizwan Solanki were arrested on December 2. They were sent on judicial remand.
