Lalu Prasad Yadav
A Rouse Avenue court on Monday has granted bail to RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his sons, Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav, in connection with the alleged land-for-jobs money laundering case.
Special Judge Vishal Gogne approved their bail on a personal bond of ₹1 lakh each, emphasizing that the accused had not been arrested during the investigation.
The Yadavs appeared in court following previously issued summons. The Enforcement Directorate submitted its final report on August 6, after the Central Bureau of Investigation registered an FIR in the case.
The allegations center on Group-D railway appointments in the West Central Zone in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, made during Lalu Prasad Yadav’s tenure as railway minister from 2004-2009.
As per ED, recruits allegedly transferred land to Yadav’s family or associates in exchange for these appointments.
