Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and dancer-choreographer Dhanashree Verma on Thursday officially ended their marriage.

Their legal representative confirmed the divorce, stating, “The divorce has been done. The marriage is dissolved.” The proceedings were completed in the Mumbai Family Court, though no details regarding alimony were disclosed.

Legal Proceedings

Earlier today, both Chahal and Verma were present at the court to finalize the legal process. Following the completion of formalities, their lawyer confirmed the dissolution of their marriage. When asked about any financial settlement, the advocate chose not to comment.

While there has been no official confirmation, a media report claimed that Chahal agreed to a ₹4.75 crore alimony payment to Verma.

Social Media Buzz Following Their Separation

After the news broke, Dhanashree Verma released a new music video, Dekha Ji Dekha Maine, which explores themes of toxic relationships. The timing of its release has led many to speculate that it reflects her personal experiences.

In response, Chahal’s rumored partner, RJ Mahvash, shared a cryptic social media post, stating, “Jhoot, lalach, aur fareb se parey hain… khuda ka shukr ainey aaj bhi khade hain…” (Translation: “We stand tall today, beyond lies, greed, and deceit.”) This statement has fueled further speculation regarding the situation.

A Look Back At Their Relationship

Chahal and Verma first met through dance training sessions, which eventually developed into a romantic relationship. They tied the knot in December 2020, and Verma frequently accompanied Chahal on his cricket tours. Chahal was also seen supporting her during her participation in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11.

Despite their seemingly strong bond in public, personal conflicts led to their decision to part ways. With the legal process now complete, their nearly four-year-long marriage has officially come to an end.
