No CBI probe in Ankita Bhandari murder case: HC dismisses Plea of deceased’s Relatives

Ankita Bhandari

The Uttarakhand High Court on Wednesday has dismissed the petition demanding CBI inquiry in Ankita Bhandari murder case. The High Court said that the SIT team is doing a good job in this sensitive matter. The High Court had reserved order on November 26 on a petition demanding a CBI inquiry into the Ankita Bhandari murder case. Ankita’s kin Ashutosh Negi had filed a petition alleging that the police and the SIT were hiding vital evidence in the case.

Ankita’s post mortem report has not yet been made public by the SIT. Ankita’s room was razed without her family members in the evening of the day her body was recovered. When Ankita’s medical was done, the police got her medical done without the presence of any woman. Which is against the order of Hon’ble Supreme Court. It was necessary to have a woman while getting medical done, which was not done by the police in this case. The police is doing a cover-up in this case. That’s why this case should be investigated by CBI.
