Pakistan SC Judges Get Paid More Than President

The salaries of Pakistan’s Supreme Court judges are more than those of the Prime Minister, President, Federal secretaries, Ministers, and Parliamentarians, according to the data submitted to the Public Accounts Committee.

However, the highest salary is that of the Chief Justice of Pakistan, followed by the Supreme Court judges & the President.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister gets lesser than the salaries of ministers and federal secretaries, the data revealed. The PAC sought details of perks and privileges received by the Prime Minister, President, CJP, and other judges of the Supreme Court.

As the Supreme Court registrar didn’t appear before the PAC for the audit of over 10-year expenditures of the apex court, the committee re-convened him at the next upcoming meeting to be held on May 23 and warned of issuing his warrants if he did not appear.

Also, the committee members expressed displeasure over the absence of the registrar. Attorney General Mansoor Awan stated in the apex court that expenditures could be audited and the Public Accounts Committee might review the audit reports.
