Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Thursday extended the police custody of four accused individuals in the Parliament security breach case until January 5. Special Judge Hardeep Kaur granted the extension, totaling 15 days, based on an application filed by the city police. The accused, namely Manoranjan D, Sagar Sharma, Amol Dhanraj Shinde, and Neelam Devi, are involved in a significant security breach incident that occurred on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack on December 13.
During the Zero Hour, two of the accused, Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D, breached security by jumping into the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery. They released yellow gas from canisters and shouted slogans before being subdued by some Members of Parliament. Concurrently, the other two accused, Amol Shinde and Neelam Devi, also engaged in the breach by spraying colored gas from canisters and shouting “tanashahi nahi chalegi” outside the Parliament House premises.
