Police Arrests 3 Men for Gang-Rape in Uttar Pradesh

Three men were arrested for allegedly gang-raping a woman in Bijnor (UP), according to police.
They identified the accused as Shanky, Robin, and Ankit.
The incident occurred on Friday when the accused took the woman (24) in their car and raped her near a tube well compound, according to Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Sanjeev Vajpayee.
As per Vajpayee, the victim informed the police that she knew the accused when filing her complaint.
An FIR was then filed on Saturday based on the victim’s complaint under Section 376 D (gang rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The accused were arrested, and an investigation is ongoing, he added.
