Rampur by polls: Advocate Suleman Khan Seeking Urgent Listing Of His Plea Before CJI

An advocate Suleman Mohammad Khan on Thursday mentioned his plea before CJI DY Chandrachud seeking urgent listing of his plea related to Rampur by polls.

Advocate Mohammad Khan today appeared before A Bench headed by Chief Justice of india DY Chandrachud and urged that “Please list this today afternoon”,.

Then CJI DY Chandrachud asked why you did not have it included in the mentioning list. We took the cases till 10.30 am.

He replied and said court master returned it.

“If you argue with my staff definitely not listing it. Just because you are here does not mean the case is urgent. there is no urgency, CJI DY Chandrachud said

An advocate Suleman Mohammad Khan filed a Plea before supreme court alleging that police have stopped thousands of voters from exercising their right to cast their vote in Rampur by polls.

The counsel submitted before the court that this was an extraordinary situation which had arisen two days ago during the by-election in Rampur Sadar.
