Recruitment in Banned CPI (Maoist), NIA files chargesheet against 5 persons in Special Court

In a case involving the radicalization and recruitment of innocent youth into the Communist Party of India (Maoist), the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet against five people, the agency announced on Tuesday.
The anti-terror agency filed a charge sheet before a special court in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
According to the complaint, Dongari Devendra, Dubasi Swapna, and Chukka Shilpa encouraged Radha to join the Chaitanya Mahila Sangham (CMS) then radicalised her, and then recruited her to the outlawed CPI (Maoist), which was run by subterranean Maoists RK, Uday, and Aruna.
According to the NIA, the investigation so far has shown that the accused—Dongari Devendra, Dubasi Swapna, and Chukka Shilpa—did, in fact, lure impressionable young girls to the CMS organisation under the pretense of social work. Depending on the girls’ commitment to the organisation, these girls would be identified and sent to the CPI (Maoist), a proscribed organisation.
It further claimed that Radha, the missing girl, had been taken to the jungles by Devendra under the pretense of providing medical care to someone, Uday and Aruna had forced her to join the illegal group.
The Peddabayalu Police Station of Visakhapatnam registered the case, which was later handed over to NIA on June 3 of this year.
