SC Govt Employees In Haryana To Get Reservation In Promotion: CM Khattar

Manohar Lal Khattar, the chief minister of Haryana, announced on Friday that employees of the state government who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) community will receive a reservation in promotion.

Addressing a state-level programme to mark the 646th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas at Narwana (Jind) the Chief Minister stated that a quota for reservation in promotion in government jobs will be fixed within three months.

In his speech, Khattar announced a 20% discount on land purchases for SC community members who want to start businesses.

“All such employees will be given a preference for advancement. After identifying all cadres, a quota will be established within three months. The SC community will receive a 20% discount on the purchase of land for the establishment of small and micro industries. Currently, a 10% discount is offered. Furthermore, members of the SC community will receive a 20% interest subsidy on loans taken for business purposes,” the CM added.

Khattar further announced the establishment of a venture capital fund to provide financial assistance to SC community youths in order to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.

“Today, around 32% of children from Scheduled Castes are enrolled in school. This ratio demonstrates that society is unquestionably making progress. These kids will receive free coaching to pursue higher education and get ready for competitive exams,” the Haryana CM added.

Speaking at the occasion, Khattar stated that the government intended to commemorate the birthdays of great figures and saints who made significant contributions to the development of society.

He said, “The administration is carrying out service and development work for the benefit of the people, drawing inspiration from the great Saint Ravidas.”

He announced that a medical college will be named after Guru Ravidas in Fatehabad’s Rasulpur village.

In Jind, the CM laid the foundation stone for two projects and inaugurated five projects worth Rs 29 crore.

The Chief Minister concluded his speech by saying that to eradicate evil from society it is important to end discrimination.
