Former Karnataka Minister H.D. Revanna has filed for anticipatory bail in the People’s Representative Court in connection with a sexual harassment case, where his son Prajwal Revanna is also implicated.
The case is scheduled for hearing on 3rd May, 2024.
Revanna, the son of former Prime Minister and JD(S) patriarch H D Deve Gowda, took this legal step following a notice from the Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up by the Karnataka government to investigate allegations against Prajwal Revanna. Prajwal faces accusations of sexual misconduct, with numerous explicit video clips allegedly circulating in Hassan recently. He contested as the NDA candidate in the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, where voting took place on April 26.
A complaint by a cook prompted the notice against Revanna and Prajwal. Prajwal, currently abroad, has requested seven days to return, while the police have issued a lookout notice for him.
