Shraddha Murder Case: Court Adjourns Framing Of Charges Against Aftab Poonawala Till May 9

The Delhi court today defer the hearing of the Shraddha Walkar murder case to May 9.

The court pronounce its order on the charges framed against Aaftab Amin Poonawala, accused of strangling his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar to death and then chopping her body into many pieces.

Additional Sessions Judge Manisha Khurana Kakkar after reserving the order on framing charges on April 15, posted it to April 29 for its pronouncement.

However, the Delhi Police also scheduled to file reply to Vikas Walkar’s (Shraddha’s father) application seeking release of his late daughter Shraddha Walkar’s remains to perform the last rites.

The Special Public Prosecutor Amit Prasad, during the last hearing, stated that the police will file a reply on the application on the next date of the hearing.

Previously, the Delhi Police told the court that incriminating circumstances are clearly revealed through reliable & clinching evidence that they form a chain of events. A charge sheet running over 6,000 pages was filed in the case where Poonawala was booked for the offenses under Sections 302 (murder) and (murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offense) of the IPC.
