Sheezan Khan, the main accused in the Tunisha Sharma death case, has filed a bail plea before the Mumbai’s Vasai Court on Tuesday. The matter is listed for further hearing on February 23, 2023.
Sheezan Khan’s lawyer Sharad Rai stated, “He had previously filed a bail petition in the Bombay High Court, but has now withdrawn the petition and filed it in the Mumbai’s Vasai Court.”
“It has been stated in the application that the charge sheet in the case has been filed and the police investigation has been completed, so the accused should now be granted bail,” Rai added.
Earlier on Thursday, the Waliv Police filed a 524-page chargesheet against accused Sheezan Khan in the Tunisha Sharma death case in the Vasai Court in Maharashtra.
Previously, on January 13, the Vasai Court in Maharashtra denied the TV actor’s bail plea.
The court observed, “Tunisha died of a panic attack after Sheezan and Tunisha ended their relationship on December 15. Sheezan was also revealed to be the last person to meet Tunisha before she died.”
In connection with Tunisha’s death case, the actor has been held in judicial custody.
Furthermore, Sheezan’s family had previously claimed that the late actor’s mother had falsely implicated him in the case. They further added that Tunisha was like “family” to them.
Sheezan Khan was reportedly dating Tunisha Sharma, who was discovered hanging at a TV show set on December 24, a fortnight after the two allegedly ended their few-months-long relationship.
Khan, who co-starred with the 20-year-old actor in ‘Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul,’ was arrested on charges of abetment to suicide just hours after the actress died.
