A court in UP’s Mau has issued a non-bailable warrant against Afsa Ansari, the wife of jailed gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari, in connection with a case involving illegal property and financial irregularities.
The warrant was issued after Afsa failed to appear in court despite being summoned multiple times. Authorities say she is facing investigation related to a case involving illegal earnings and benami (proxy) property transactions.
ED & Police Looking For Afsa
The Enforcement Directorate and Uttar Pradesh Police have been searching for Afsa for some time. Raids have already been carried out at her known locations, but she remains untraceable.
Officials believe Afsa played a role in managing properties and money linked to Mukhtar Ansari’s alleged illegal activities.
Part Of Ongoing Crackdown
This action is part of a larger crackdown by the government on Mukhtar Ansari and his network, which includes cases of extortion, land grabbing, and money laundering.
Ansari himself is currently in jail, and several of his family members and close aides are also under the scanner.
