Women Claimed Parents Wants To Kill Her As Human SACRIFICE, Madras HC Directs TN Govt To Provide Security To Women

The Tamil Nadu government declared on Thursday that it will grant the woman from Madhya Pradesh the necessary protection after she went to the Madras High Court claiming that her parents intended to kill her as a “human sacrifice.”

The woman stated in her petition filed on Wednesday that her parents believed in black magic and that they (particularly her stepmother) planned to kill her as part of a human sacrifice.

According to her plea, she had escaped her parents’ home and came to Tamil Nadu because she heard it was the “safest place for women.” She had thus requested that the Court to direct the local police to provide her with protection.

Judge G Chandrasekharan received assurances from State Public Prosecutor and Senior Advocate Hasan Mohamed Jinnah that the 23-year-old petitioner will be given sufficient police protection.

The Court observed the State’s submissions and issued notice to the petitioner’s parents, who have three weeks to respond to the plea. Additionally, it ordered the police departments of Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu to file their respective status reports.

Justice Chandrasekharan stated that it was “disappointing to hear that the practice of human sacrifice was still prevalent in the twenty-first century.”

The woman, who was in court, claimed that her parents were superstitious and planned to offer her as a human sacrifice. She also claimed that her parents were members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). She also alleged that her parents, their acquaintances belonging to the RSS and the ABVP, and members of the Madhya Pradesh Police were all complicit and were looking for her.
