The Resident Doctors’ Association of Delhi AIIMS ended their 11-day strike on Thursday, following the Supreme Court’s intervention.
The Court had instructed healthcare workers to resume their duties and directed the government to ensure safety for health professionals nationwide. The RDA praised the Court, saying, “We extend our sincere appreciation to the Supreme Court for taking cognizance of the RG Kar Medical College incident and addressing the broader issue of safety and security for healthcare workers across the country.”
Meanwhile, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Kumar Pathak has filed a petition with the Delhi High Court, challenging the prison authorities’ refusal to let him meet Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in jail. The court will soon hear the plea, which requests permission for a physical visit and interview with Kejriwal.
