The Supreme Court will hear former IAS trainee, Pooja Khedkar’s anticipatory bail plea on Wednesday. Khedkar has approached the top court after her plea was rejected by the Delhi High Court.
The matter has been listed in court number 8 before the bench of Justice BV Nagarathna and Justice Satish Chandra Sharma.
She is accused of forging documents to fraudulently clear the 2022 Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam by wrongfully availing herself of benefits meant for the Other Backward Class (OBC) and disability quotas.
On December 23, 2024: The Delhi High Court dismissed her anticipatory bail plea describing her actions as a ‘glaring example of fraud’ not only against a constitutional institution but also against society and the nation as a whole.
The court expressed strong disapproval of her alleged actions, underscoring the serious nature of the charges against her.
Challenging the High Court’s order, Khedkar has now moved the top court, asserting that the lower court’s order was erroneous.
