Caveat Filed In The Supreme Court On Controversy Over The Poster Of The Film ‘Kali’

A caveat has been filed in the Supreme Court in the controversial poster controversy of Goddess Kali. Supreme Court lawyer Vineet Jindal filed a caveat and said that our side should be also heard before passing any order on Leena’s petition.

Filmmaker Leena Manimekalai, who made the controversial poster of Goddess Kali, has filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking quashing of cases filed against her in different states. The Controversial filmmaker Leena depicts Goddess Kali smoking a cigarette in a poster of a documentary titled Hindu God.

The FIRs has been filed against Leena in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand against the poster of the documentary.

Leena has argued in her petition that she did not try to hurt the religious sentiments of any person. Leena has claimed that she received threat calls against her and her family after tweeting the poster of the documentary.

Manimekalai has seeking to quash the proceedings against her in the districts courts of Hazratganj in Lucknow, Ratlam, Bhopal and Indore in Madhya Pradesh, Haridwar in Uttarakhand and Delhi.
