On the one hand, where the cases like mob lynching, Bilkis Bano and WhatsApp are to be heard in the Supreme Court, on the other hand, the ownership rights of the Teen Murti complex are to be debated in the Delhi High Court. The hearing in the Amanatullah Khan case is to be held at Rouse Avenue. Apart from this, what else is there in the courts, let us see the court at a glance:

  • The Supreme Court will hear the petition against release of the convicts of Bilkis Bano. A bench of Justice Ajay Rastogi and Justice CT Ravikumar will hear the petition filed by CPM leaders Subhashini Ali and Mahua Moitra.
  • The Supreme Court will hear the petition of Anoop Majhi, the main accused in the coal scam in West Bengal. Both Anoop Majhi and the state government have moved the Supreme Court against the ongoing CBI probe into the coal scam in West Bengal.
  • A contempt petition filed by Tehseen Poonawalla and social activist Tushar Gandhi to be heared for not following the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court in the mob launching case by the state governments.
  • The Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court may hear the petition filed against the new data policy of WhatsApp. In a reply, the Central Government has said that the Data Protection Bill is being prepared and the new Data Protection Bill will be passed by the Parliament as soon as possible.
  • The Supreme Court will hear the petition filed by the Indian Olympic Association. In fact, the Delhi High Court had recently appointed a committee of administrators to prepare the IOA’s constitution and conduct elections. Recently, a similar case had also come to the fore in the Indian Football Association.
  • The Supreme Court will hear the petition filed by the CBI against Mayank Mehta, a relative of fugitive diamond merchant Nirav Modi.
  • A Petition filed in The Delhi High Court seeking urgent hearing of the matter relating to the eviction notice served to the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund (JNMF) to vacate the Teen Murti Estate premises.
  • The Delhi High Court to hear a petition filed against the Centre’s decision to sack Gujarat cadre IPS officer Satish Chandra Verma. Verma has been involved in the investigation of the Ishrat Jahan encounter case in Gujarat.
  • The Rouse Avenue Court will hear the case filed against AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan for rioting and stone-pelting and violently protest during bulldozer action against encroachment in South Delhi.
  • The Rouse Avenue Court will hear the regular bail applications filed by the five accused who could not be arrested by the CBI yet in Delhi government’s excise policy Scam.
  • The Patiala House Court will pronounce the judgemrent on the extradition petition of Rajwinder Singh, accused of murder case in Australia. Rajwinder had said the court that he wants to go to Australia to face the trial.
  • The judicial custody of Aftab Poonawala, accused in the Shraddha murder case, is ending tomorrow, he has to be produced before the Saket court.
