Today can be an important day for those who did not exchange 500 and 1000 rupee notes with new Currency during demonetization. If the court declares demonetization illegal, then people who still have old 500 and 1000 notes in their wallet will jump with joy… However, what more could be special from the court corridor today on December 5, let’s have a look at that..

* The constitution bench of supreme court will hear on December 5 the pleas challenging the center’s decision to demonetize currency note of Rs 500, and 1000 in 2016.

A five-judge Constitution bench headed by Justice S A Nazeer is hearing a batch of 58 petitions challenging the demonetization exercise.
*The Supreme court will hear on December 5 a PIL by BJP leader and Advocates Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay seeking a direction to the Centre and states to take measures to check forcible and fraudulent religious conversion by threat and inducements.

*The Delhi high Court to continue hearing on the PIL seeking direction for the Centre to implement a uniform banking code for foreign exchange transactions to control black money generation and Benami transactions.

*The Court will hear CBI plea against Trial Court order granted bail to AAP’s Vijay Nair and Hydrabad based Buisenessman Abhishek Boinpally on Delhi’s Excise Policy case.

*The Delhi High court to hear appeal moved by suspended BJP lawmaker Kuldeep Singh Sengar and others challanging his convection and sentencing  in Unnao Rape case.

*The Delhi high court will hear Enforcement Directorate plea against the notices issued to its officers by the West Bengal Police in a case registered against a news channel by TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee.

*The Allahabad High Court on December 5 will hear Gyanvapi masjid management’s revision petition challenging a Varanasi court order on the maintainability of a plea seeking permission to offer regular prayers to idols of deities in the mosque complex.
