MAHARASHTRA POLITICAL FIASCO

  • A Constitution bench of the Supreme Court to hear the two pleas filed by the Eknath Shinde camp of the Shiv Sena challenging the disqualification notices issued against 16 rebel lawmakers who switched sides. The court will also hear the pleas filed by the Uddhav camp challenging the appointment of Eknath Shinde as the Chief Minister of the State.

  • Court to continue hearing on plea by the Karnataka government, challenging the Karnataka High Court judgment, which struck down provisions of law prohibiting betting and wagering in online games. Various other state governments too have filed similar pleas.
