To celebrate Guru Nanak Jayanti, the Supreme Court witnessed a special celebration as the Supreme Court Bar Association organized a Langar in the court’s canteen on Thursday.
The event was held ahead of the official holiday on November 15, when the court will remain closed.
The Langar was attended by the Chief Justice of India, Sanjiv Khanna, along with several other prominent judges of the Supreme Court. Justice B.R. Gavai, Justice Suryakant, Justice N. Kokeswar Singh, Justice Rajesh Bindal, Justice Ujjwal Bhuiyan, Justice K.V. Vishwanathan, Justice P.B. Barale, Justice J.J. Maheshwari, and Justice P.S. Narasimha were among the dignitaries present at the occasion.
This initiative was especially significant as the Supreme Court will observe a holiday on November 15 in celebration of Guru Nanak Dev’s birth anniversary, and thus the Langar was organized in advance.
