The Supreme Court has implemented significant infrastructure upgrades in its courtrooms to enhance the use of technology in the judicial system.

These upgrades were disclosed in a press note, highlighting various measures being taken. Among these measures, the Court has developed software enabling advocates to upload case-related reference materials and citations.

Additionally, work is underway to create software for issuing e-passes to advocates and litigants for court premises access. Notably, a Digital Video Conferencing (VC) system has been installed to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. Cable cubbies have also been integrated into the courtrooms to cater to diverse connectivity requirements.

Furthermore, an LED video wall has been installed, providing a high-resolution display for camera feeds and multimedia content.

To address audibility issues during hearings, the system includes flush mount Front of House (FOH) speakers positioned under table speakers with suitable amplifiers.

Additionally, a document camera has been introduced in the courtrooms to streamline document sharing processes. These technological advancements signify the Court’s commitment to enhancing its technological capabilities and courtroom experience.

“These cutting-edge technology upgrades aimed to significantly enhance the technological capabilities and overall courtroom experience are among several initiatives that have been taken under the guidance and leadership of the Hon’ble the Chief Justice of India,” the press note stated.
