Justice Dharmesh Sharma Sworn-In As Additional Judge Of Delhi HC

Justice Dharmesh Sharma today was sworn in as an additional judge of the Delhi High Court.

The oath was administered by Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and the appointment was notified by the Union Government earlier this week.

Previously, Sharma was the Principal District & Sessions Judge of Dwarka Courts (South West District).

The announcement of Sharma’s appointment was made by Law Minister Kiren Rijiju on Twitter. He wrote, “In exercise of the power conferred under the Constitution, Shri Dharmesh Sharma, Judicial Officer is appointed as Additional Judge of Delhi High Court. I extend my best wishes to him.”

In April, the Supreme Court Collegium recommended names of 3 judicial officers for their appointment as additional judges of the Delhi High Court, including Sharma.

Last month, the other two judges, Girish Kathpalia & Manoj Jain, were appointed as an additional judge of the High Court.
