A plea has been mentioned today before the Supreme Court claiming that the women’s toilet in Ooty District Court has been sealed.
The petitioner’s advocate told Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud that pursuant to a notice of High Court, the women’s toilet was closed.
CJI Chandrachud stated that the petition will be listed next week and also stated that the apex court will try to ascertain reasons from the concerned District Judge as well the Registrar General of the High Court.
“Let me speak with the District Judge. we will list on April 24 or else April 28.”
Also, CJI Chandrachud asked the court staff to speak to the Registrar General of the Madras High Court to gather information on the same.
