An advocate Suleman Mohammad Khan on Thursday filed a Plea before supreme court alleging that police have stopped thousands of voters from exercising their right to cast their vote in Rampur by polls.

A Bench headed by Chief Justice of india DY Chandrachud asked the advocate to mention his plea tomorrow morning after the advocate mentioned the plea before supreme court in evening.

The police authorities, who are protectors of the Constitution, have stopped thousands and thousands of voters from voting beating them black and blue. Broken heads,” Khan submitted.

The counsel submitted before the court that this was an extraordinary situation which had arisen two days ago during the by-election in Rampur Sadar. Voters were beaten by the police during polling and prevented from casting their votes. Not only this, I was also injured in the scuffle with the policemen, he added.
