SC overturns J&K HC order, says no home made food allowed in theatres

The Supreme Court said during the hearing of a case on Tuesday that the cinema hall is not a gym where you need nutritious food, it is a place of entertainment. The Supreme Court said that it is the right and desire of the audience to go to which theater to watch which movie, similarly the hall management also has the right to make rules there. The Supreme Court has set aside the order of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court with these observations. In this order, the High Court had given permission to take outside food and drink to the hall. The Jammu and Kashmir Cinema Hall Association filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the decision of the High Court. CJI D Y Chandrachud said that if someone wants to take jalebi to the cinema hall, then the cinema hall management can refuse him saying that if the viewer wipes his sugar-coated fingers from the seat after eating jalebi, then who will pay for cleaning the spoiled seat? The cinema hall management also has a complaint that people bring Murgh Maslam. Later their bones are left there. Some people have trouble with that too.
