The Aam Aadmi Party Leader Manish Sisodia, who was arrested for his alleged role in the Delhi Excise Policy scam tweeted from ED’s custody today that the probe agency can’t “break his spirit”.
“Sir, you can trouble me by putting me in jail. But can’t break my spirits, The British also gave trouble to the freedom fighters, But his spirits did not break,” he stated in a tweet which came a day after he was sent to Enforcement Directorate’s custody for 7 days.
Sisodia got arrested by the agency on charges of money laundering linked to the policy. The agency sought for 10-day custody to question the Former Deputy Chief Minister. The ED told the judge in court yesterday that there was a conspiracy behind framing the excise policy and that Sisodia was part of the “money laundering nexus”.
