Excise Policy Scam: ED Conducted Raids At AAP Leader Sanjay Singh’s Close Associates Residence

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday raided the homes of AAP leader Sanjay Singh’s associates in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case, alleged the AAP leader.

Sanjay Singh claimed that the investigation agency raided Sarvesh Mishra’s Vitthal Bhai Patel House in Delhi. The AAP leader further stated in a tweet that the ED raided the premises of one Ajit Tyagi.

Currently, the ED is conducting searches at six different locations in Delhi in connection with the alleged liquor scam. Ajit Tyagi’s, Sarvesh Mishra’s, Punit Tyagi’s, and Amit Goel’s homes are being searched.

Ajit and Sarvesh are known to AAP leader Sanjay Singh.

Suspects who are being searched today worked closely with Dinesh Arora and Amit Arora. They were also a part in the tendering process.

According to the CBI, Sisodia’s ‘close associates’ Amit Arora, Director of Buddy Retail Pvt Limited in Gurgaon, and businessman Dinesh Arora were involved in handling and diverting the excessive pecuniary advantage acquired from liquor licenses.

The Delhi government’s excise policy for 2021-22, which grants licenses to liquor traders, is said to have benefited specific dealers who had allegedly paid bribes for it, a claim strongly denied by the AAP. The policy was later scrapped.
