Close Call: Businessman Rescued in Dramatic Police Chase near Greater Noida

In the early hours of Tuesday, police from Knowledge Park Police Station in Greater Noida successfully rescued a businessman who had been kidnapped from Haryana’s Ballabhgarh.

According to a statement from the Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissionerate on Tuesday, officers on patrol with the mobile force spotted a suspicious black-colored SUV at Noida Zero Point. Upon noticing the police, the vehicle attempted to flee, prompting a pursuit by law enforcement.

The victim, identified as Rajeev Mittal, son of Ramprasad Mittal and a resident of Mukesh Colony police station in Haryana’s Ballabhgarh district, was found with his hands tied and sustaining some injury marks on his body.

According to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police of Greater Noida, Ashok Kumar, Rajeev Mittal, a resident of Ballabhgarh in Haryana, departed from his residence around 1 am to pick someone up from Delhi airport. However, he was abducted by four individuals en route who were heading towards Delhi. Upon noticing the presence of the police, the abductors became apprehensive and collided with the divider. Consequently, they abandoned the vehicle, seized the keys, and fled from the scene. The police, who were present at the scene, rescued Mittal and promptly transported him to a nearby hospital for initial medical attention.

“The victim is in stable condition, and his family has been notified. We are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter,” he further stated.
