Prof R Venkata Rao, former Vice-Chancellor of the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore, has been named as the next Vice-Chancellor of India International University of Legal Education and Research (IIULER), Goa.
The change comes after Srividhya Ragavan left the position of founding vice chancellor of the university, which was backed by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
Before to his retirement in 2019, Prof. Rao oversaw the BCI Trust-founded NLSIU Bangalore for ten arduous years.
He had been teaching and conducting research for almost 43 years.
Prof. Rao was formerly the Board of Governors’ Chairperson for the Asia Law Institute (ASLI).
He most recently held the positions of Chairperson of the Vivekananda Schools of Law and English Studies (Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, New Delhi). He had just started working as Director for IIULER.
