Atrocious Petition: SC Imposes a fine of 25K on PIL seeking compensation from Google

The Supreme Court on Friday imposed fines 25 thousand on a man who filed a PIL to seek damages from Google because he failed to crack a competitive exam due to explicit ads on YouTube.

It is one of the most atrocious petition, wasting of court’s time, the bench said

The petitioner appearing in person demanding compensation from YouTube because due to explicit ads on YouTube distracted him while studying for a state exam.

The Petitioner sought compensation of Rs 75 lakh from Google India for showing nudity content in ads on YouTube due to which his attention was diverted and failed in exam.
